Revalidation

Revalidation proficiency checks can be requested for both SEP and MEP.

A proficiency check for ME-IR revalidation can be done on the FNPTII but with the following conditions:

• It has to be a revalidation of the rating and not a renewal, ie the rating must still be valid
• The previous revalidation must have been done on the aircraft
• The MEP class rating will not be revalidated in the same test, so the student will have a current ME-IR but no MEP rating. Nonetheless, students always have the option of starting off with some training on the FNPTII and then progressing to the aircraft.

Renewal

Renewals for both SEP and MEP/ME-IR are provided, based on the candidate’s requirements as determined through an initial flight evaluation. The training hours are therefore completely dependent on the student’s performance. After the initial assessment flight, a training plan will be presented to the student. The required training is followed by a test in the aircraft.
