Since the necessary knowledge and skills will be imparted during the ground and flight training, we have only a few entry requirements for our programs. Potential students should meet the following minimum entry requirements:
- Be 16 years old to initiate training (first licence can be obtained at 17)
- Be proficient in English
- Be capable of holding a Class 1 Pilot Medical Certificate for the ATPL course and a Class 2 Medical Certificate for the PPL course, prior to applying for the course.
- Have passed at least O level Mathematics and Physics, if the advanced courses will be followed. This is, however, not a requirement for PPL training.
- Complete the application form and successfully pass the assessment process for your preferred training program.
A typical medical examination includes (a) a review of the individual’s medical history, (b) hearing and vision tests, (c) lung function and heart tests, (d) blood and urine analysis and (e) a general physical examination.
For PPL a Class 2 medical is required, while a Class 1 medical is required for the ATPL/CPL licence.
Further information about this can be obtained from our Training Department.
